Therapy
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
A structured, practical approach to understanding how thoughts, feelings, and behaviours connect.
What is CBT?
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) is a structured, present-focused approach that looks at how thoughts, feelings, and behaviours influence one another. It's one of the most widely practiced and researched forms of talk therapy.
What does it look like?
Sessions are collaborative and goal-oriented. You and your therapist identify patterns of thinking or behaviour that aren't serving you, and work together on practical strategies to shift them often with small, concrete steps to try between sessions.
CBT is one of several approaches our therapists draw on, alongside DBT, EFT, and others which one fits is something you work out together, not something you have to decide in advance.
Availability
CBT is available clinic‑wide in Brampton and online across Ontario. To explore whether CBT is a fit for your goals, book a free 15‑minute phone/video consultation.
